Prolonged noise exposure in the workplace or sudden loud bursts of noise can lead to hearing loss and damage such as tinnitus. As an employer, you have a legal responsibility to meet the requirements of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 to ensure that your employees’ hearing is protected.
If the noise in your workplace is intrusive, it is likely that you will be required to carry out a risk assessment.
We can measure occupational noise exposure using Type 1 noise meters, and personal dose meters, to assess the effect on your workers.
